I definitely have two big passions in my life. One, of course, is wedding and portrait photography, and the other is SPORTS photography! I love shooting anything fast paced and unpredictable, and I definitely get that adrenaline rush doing both weddings and sports. I think I’m a terrible sports photographer, though – I always get too excited and look up from the camera to watch the game instead of photographing it!!

Last week at the Texas A&M/Missouri game I had the awesome opportunity to meet Former President George Bush, Sr. He was surrounded by people begging for photographs and autographs, but I got lucky and got the last photo with him before the whisked him off to his luxury box seats.

Also pictured are two of my friends and fellow photographers Kyle Lobpries (far left) and Wade Barker (far right).

To top it off, my Aggies beat Mizzou!! All in all, a great day.

I have a break from weddings for awhile, but the next few weeks are packed full of engagement and bridal sessions. I can’t wait!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding with some fantastic photographers over at mist Photography in Dallas.  These guys are great, they really know to form a bond with their clients and become true friends.  They even had a deal that once they had the shots they needed, they would switch over into guest mode and party out for the rest of the night!  How cool is that?

I love shooting for other photographers because it gives me the opportunity to look for smaller details that I might otherwise overlook if I’m trying to get those “money shots” that everyone expects.  Detail photos are my favorites, and I certainly got my fair share of those!  Here are a few that I really liked:

Amanda, the bride.. Isn’t she gorgeous?  She and her family are from London, and they had the greatest accents!

Carlo and Lesan of mist Photography!  Love these two!

I love the background’s reaction in this image.. Just look at those faces!!

Congrats Amanda and Jack, and thanks to mist for letting me come along!

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of doing a second engagement session for a great couple, Ashley & Nick. We had done a previous session awhile ago, but after they decided on a venue for their wedding, they asked me to go back there with them to create some more images. Here are a few of my favorites:

If you have never been to the Houstonian, it is amazing!! The building is very classy and elegant, and the grounds surrounding it are even more spectacular. I can’t wait to return there for their wedding next November!

Hey guys! This is a great time in my life. As many of you may know, I am going full-time into wedding photography starting in January of 2007, and I can’t wait to get started! I am completely revamping my brand and my image, which means all new logos, watermarks, image styles, and of course, a brand new website! Along with that comes cool new features like this shiny new blog!

This blog will be a way for me to let you all know what I’m up to, and to showcase some of my favorite images from my many sessions. Hopefully this will allow those of you who know me to see what is going on in my crazy world, but more importantly it will allow those of you who don’t know me to catch a glimpse of the passion I have for this wonderful business!

Photography is my world, and I love everything about it. I especially enjoy the thrill of going to a wedding and being a part of the greatest day in the lives of whatever awesome couple I have been blessed with working for. It’s such an honor to be invited to do what I do, and I couldn’t enjoy it more!

I will try to update this blog at least a few times per month, so keep checking back to see what we’re up to!
