About Me

Note:  This blog has moved, and will soon be deleted.  Please visit the NEW blog at www.stacyreeves.com.

My name is Stacy Colleen Reeves.

I went to Texas A&M, and I could not possible be more proud of my school. It kind of border on obsession… WHOOP!

My favorite color is blue, but I am a total girly girl, so I adore pink, as well.

I really really like to smile.

My birthday is on Christmas Eve, 1983. Yes I do get jipped out of presents, and yes I am bitter about it.

When I get really exciting about something, I start singing everything I say.

I love to read, and at one point in my life I read a book a week. Now it is more like a book a month… Got any good suggestions?

I hate cell phones and IM, I would much rather sit in a coffee shop and chat.

I love music from just about every genre, except country, and I get a ton of joy out of discovering artists I have never heard before.

I love animals, especially my little killer puppy Sallie and my little monster cat Vladimir. I will do just about anything for an animal in need.

My favorite website is www.digitalcitrus.com

I love love, I love being in love, I don’t care what it does to me!

I love to travel, but I hate flying.

I have never had any of my couples postpone or cancel their wedding, or break up.. I am a good luck charm!

I don’t drink caffeine, ever!

The thing that brings me the biggest joy in life is proving to my clients how beautiful they look to those around them. There is no greater bliss than making someone feel good about themselves.

I am a blog junkie.

I have the best boyfriend ever, his name is Jason, we live a fascinating life.

I grew up always wanting to be a writer, and I was convinced I would write the next great American novel! Maybe I still will!

My mom is the coolest mom in the whole wide world.

I’m a hopeless romantic

When I grow up, I want to be a wedding photographer :)

Awesome Stacy!! Always good to see someone finding her career niche in life!

You definitely have the knack for capturing not only intriguing images, but also what I think is the most important element–the human element.

I do videos, which I know is not the same as photography, but I think it’s incredible when someone can project movie-like movements on a static photo. I’m not talking about trick shots either. I’m talking about the holistic perspective your photos project in all its humanistic glory. So kudos to you.

Movies by yourself? Thanks Stacy! Now I can tell my wife I’m not the only strange one out there.

When your BIG day comes (wedding), I have this comical vision of your photographer under immense pressure to take the shots that could please you.
I can see the photographer begging for you to choose someone else. Oh wait…that sounds familiar: “In January of 2006, Brittani got engaged to another good friend, Corey, and they asked me to shoot their wedding. I begged them to pick someone else, but they insisted…”

Just make sure you take a photo of the photographer’s expression while she begs you to choose someone else. Then look at it and know you’ve come full circle.

LOL

Hi Stacey,

Your work is stunning and I am slowly becoming your biggest fan. I am in another continent ( south America ), in a small country called SURINAME. It is bordered by Brazil, Guiana and French Guiana.
Our country is stuck in the middle.

Anyway, I am glad that I’ve seen your pics on Flickr ( I am also a member ) and I hope to get back at ya!

Excuse my English, because our native language is Dutch.

Have a nice day..

Stacy-
I was searching Martha Stuart wedding cakes, and saw ur photos. They’re the BEST I’ve seen for weddings–really–SO great! My boyfriend and I are planning to get married within the next year or two, and I saw that u went to A&M. I live in Houston, and I was sooo excited to think u may be near here–I looked for ur location not expecting that! Anwho- I wanted to see if u ever do wedding in Houston–I may answer my own question after more exploration of ur site, but I’m excited, and wanted to message u :) I’d LOVE to maybe get a rough quote from u some time. Our wedding won’t be for atleast a year, but I’m puttin ur site under my favorites to contact u as soon as we start officially planning. Our wedding will be about 100 people. Let me know if u come to the Houston area! Thanks!!!! Penny Roberts

Stacey, lovely photos. I’m doing a new page on our co-operative website above for honeymoon couples to stay at one of the cottages in Scotland. The website is non commercial, we are just a group of friends. I’d like your permission please to use Flickr DS10 as an illustration.

I will give you a credit and a link to your flickr photos – or website, if you prefer.

I won’t use it unless you give permission, but I want to make a decisionnext week.
